What we delete
When you delete your account we permanently remove or irreversibly anonymise the following:

- Your academic profile (university, year of study, jurisdiction)
- Your learning history — practice and exam sessions, IRAC exercises, question attempts, moot sessions, scores and progress
- Saved cases, citations, notes and personal collections
- Chat threads and research history
- Uploaded documents and study guides
- Your password, refresh tokens and active sessions
We complete this deletion within 30 days of your confirmed request.
What we are required to keep
South African law requires us to retain a small set of records even after your account is deleted. These records do not allow us to log you in or contact you, and are used only for the purposes below:
- Financial and tax records — invoices, receipts and payment records, kept for 5 years as required by the South African Revenue Service and the Tax Administration Act.
- Security and audit logs — minimal records of sign-in events, payment events and the deletion event itself, kept for up to 12 months for fraud prevention and security.
- Aggregated, anonymised analytics — usage statistics from which you cannot be identified are retained indefinitely.
Active subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a paid Google Play subscription. If you have an active subscription, cancel it in the Google Play Store before deleting your account, or contact us at [email protected] for help. Refunds are governed by Google Play’s refund policy.
